Water-Efficient and Sustainable Campus Landscaping

The university follows a sustainable landscape design approach to conserve natural resources and promote eco-friendly practices. Native and drought-tolerant plants, along with grass varieties that require minimal water, are used to maintain year-round greenery. Common species such as the Banyan Tree, Fishtail Palm, and Shoe Flower (Hibiscus) are well adapted to the local climate and thrive with limited irrigation. To ensure efficient water use and minimize wastage, a drip irrigation system is implemented across campus gardens. These efforts collectively create a healthy, water-efficient, and sustainable ecosystem that supports biodiversity and enhances climate resilience.
