Seminar on the Launch of HPV Vaccination Program

The Department of Community Medicine, University Medical and Dental College a constituent college of TUF organized a seminar on the launch of the HPV Vaccination Program in collaboration with UNICEF, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), and the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, Government of Punjab.

The event aimed to support the national HPV vaccination initiative, addressing a critical public health gap in Pakistan where cervical cancer remains a major concern. Government officials and international NGO representatives presented policy directions, vaccination strategies, and implementation frameworks to guide the rollout of the program.

This collaboration highlights the university’s direct involvement with national government bodies and international organizations in the development and support of health-related policies, particularly those contributing to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
