EDUCATION OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
DEPARTMENT OF OPTOMETRY VISITED CHENAB SCHOOL
Optometry department faculty member along with student visit Chenab School Chiniot conducted An Eye screening. More than 400 students were screened out at the School by Optometry students along with Madinah Teaching Hospital Doctor. All visual functions were evaluated and students, teachers and staff working were counseled for a detailed evaluation of their problem. External and internal examination of the eye was performed using a pen torch and ophthalmoscope, while contrast and visual function by using Pelli Robson and Snellen chart. The screening activity was conducted under the supervision of Dr Nimra Gul and Dr Shakila Abbas.
SHORT COURSE DESIGNED FOR HOME ORPHANAGE
Students from the Department of Design and Interiors and faculty members visited Home Orphanage children’s and given lectures on short course designed by faculty members to students related art. The goal was to engage the orphan children in art and craft activities to enhance their creative thinking processes. Students gives hand on practice to more than 25 children to bring out their creativity on the paper through paintings and art work and promotes life long Learning.
VISIT TO SOS CHILDREN'S VILLAGE
Department of Dermatology University of Faisalabad in collaboration Madinah Teaching Hospital visited SOS Children's Village Faisalabad Chak No 199/RB. Head of Department Prof Dr Tanzeela Khalid supervised the team of Post Graduate Residents of Madinah Teaching Hospital and students of the Department of Dermal Sciences. They examined about 100 students, took their complete history, and provided medical care. Free medicines were distributed among the students and faculty members. students were also educated about proper handwashing techniques and hygienic measures.
VISIT TO GOVERNMENT SPECIAL NATIONAL EDUCATION PAKISTAN
Department of Dermatology Department of Dermatology, Madinah Teaching Hospital in collaboration with The University of Faisalabad and Society for Skin Care visit Government Special National Education Pakistan under the supervision of Head of Department Prof Dr Tanzeela Khalid to develop professional skills in students by providing them clinical exposure.
UNIVERSITY TEACHER VISITED COLLEGE TO COUNSEL STUDENTS ON CHARACTER EDUCATION
Character education is about important life skills children need to learn for their spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development. University of Faisalabad teacher visited Aspire college to counsel student on character education. Teacher emphasis on student character developement and respect for themselves and others through Character Education.
