SHORT COMPUTER COURSE FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED STUDENTS

In collaboration with Pakistan Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF), The University of Faisalabad (TUF) has arranged one month free-of-charge course on “Basic Computer skills” for visually impaired persons. A considerable number of students from different region of Pakistan participated in this course. The Centre of Collective Activity (CCA) at The university of Faisalabad (TUF) has organized the Certificate Distribution Ceremony after Completion of course. In particular, the PATF Chairman, Mr. Muhammad Shahbaz, especially thanked to the TUF administration for facilitating the Visually Impaired students. Dr Majid Hussain (HoD of Computational Sciences) addressed to the participants and encourage the “especial students” in their continued efforts to develop their skills. Prof Dr Khaleeq ur Rahman highlighted the constructive role of TUF in such kind of activities and he emphasized that other Higher Educational Institutes (HEIs) should play a vital role in facilitating “special people” by providing supports to such Foundation.

 

 

SHORT COURSE DESIGNED FOR HOME ORPHANAGE

Students from the Department of Design and Interiors and faculty members designed short course for Home Orphanage children’s  and given lectures and hand on practice to students related art. The goal was to engage the orphan children in art and craft activities to enhance their creative thinking processes. Students gives hand on practice to more than 25 children to bring out their creativity on the paper through paintings and art work and promotes lifelong Learning.

 

 

SHORT COURSE ON ART

Department of Interior design University of Faisalabad host short course on painting and clay modelling to encourage peoples to explore creativity in them. Course will be beneficial to enhance their creative skills. This course will help for them to develop their observation as well as their confidence to create whatever they can imagine. It can also be fruitful to those who want to create paintings, drawings, posters, mood boards, creative presentations, animation and storyboards.

 

 

AUTOCAD: TRAINING FOR BEGINNERS

TUF believes that technology is an important tool for delivering high quality education. The Department of Design & Interiors organized a one week Auto-Cad training course for women and girls outside university to highlight the necessity of digital representation for design and technical drawings such as working plans, sections, and interior elevations. Training on various digital tools for scaling and comprehending annotation and dimensions was given to the participants. All these tools will be beneficial for managing the space available in the intervened environment.

 

 

OPEN DESIGN WORKSHOP

Two-day hands-on experience workshop was arranged by the department of interior design  Aleena Hassan open to public, an industrial designer was invited as moderator. She emphasizes more on the appearance of a product, the functioning, how the product is manufactured, and the value & experience provides for users. The designer working in industy sole intent must be aimed at improving products through design. 

 

 

WORKSHOP ON ART OF FREE LANCING

The Business Incubation Center University of Faisalabad host workshop on the "Art of FREELANCING open to public. Mr  Zubair trainer from (PITB) was invited as keynote speaker. More than 500 participants took part in the session. Mr  Zubair briefs participants on the advantages, methods for freelancing, and how e-Rozgar helps thousands of peoples in Pakistan who are now successful entrepreneurs. He also encouraged participants to incubate their own businesses idea. Later, Dr Imran Ahmed Shahzad (Head-BIC), discussed entrepreneurial skills and their impact of freelancing in the modern era.

 

 

HANDS-ON PRACTICE OF OPHTHALMIC DISPENSING

TUF, in collaboration with the Department of Optometry, organized a 5 days’ workshop on "Hands-on Practice of Ophthalmic Dispensing" for worker of optical Stores in Pakistan. The workshop was conducted by clinical optometrists Mr. Hakeem Anjum given hands own experience on how to create spectacle lenses by marking, cutting, edging, and fitting them. In addition, the professionals provided clinical information about spectacle creation and the use of various spectacles based on the profession.
