WASTE FOUNDRY SAND
Waste foundry sand (WFS) is a by-product of the metal casting industries and is used for land filling purposes. Disposing of waste creates problems to environment and increases environmental pollution. To reduce environmental pollutions and solving disposal problems department of civil engineering students take an initiative of partial replacement of natural sand with waste foundry sands in concrete mixtures.
University has kept separate bins in the university. Separate bins are convenient for sanitation workers to separate highly recyclable forms of organic and inorganic wastes.
University collects the inorganic recyclable waste materials and sends it to various vendors’ that used them for recycling.
Toxic waste treatment
