World Vegan Day

Students gather to celebrate World Vegan Day every year. This annual event is more than just a culinary celebration; it's an advocacy for a sustainable and food-secure future.

World Vegan Day embraces a plant-based diet and highlight how accessible and beneficial a vegan lifestyle is and to encourage the vegan-curious to adopt veganism by sharing advice, recipes and ideas.

While veganism promotes the complete avoidance of animal-based products, it also presents an opportunity to address issues of food security. A plant-based diet emerges as a compelling solution to this challenge. A research claimed that “Replacing all animal-based items with plant-based replacement diets can add enough food to feed 350 million additional people, more than the expected benefits of eliminating all supply chain food loss.”

Our cafeterias in university premises are at the forefront of initiative to provide a diverse selection of sustainable food choices that cater to the preferences and values of our students and staff. The menu caters to a large variety of fresh fruit juices & fruit & vegetable salads. Whether you're a vegetarian or a vegan, you'll find a variety of nutritious and eco-friendly options to choose from.

We believe that offering these sustainable food choices not only promotes personal health but also contributes to a healthier planet by reducing our ecological impact. It's our way of ensuring that every individual on campus has access to responsible and ethical dining options, aligning with our dedication to sustainability and well-being.
